It was my pleasure to write music for Nassau University's recent TV Spot, created by VisionPoint Marketing. The playful, quirky tone and messaging led to a bouncy, pizzicato musical composition, accenting the questions asked by the voiceover. Check it out below!
I was fortunate enough to be hired to create a video and write music for Ruth Gao's U.S. Senate campaign announcement in Kentucky. The inspirational music was crafted to support the impassioned, heartfelt tone of Ruth's message. Although she only announced her candidacy yesterday, the video has already surpassed 40,000 views on Twitter alone, and contributed to a follower growth of over 10,000. Check it out below!
Finding Our Sound
Having already written music for two basketball documentaries (The Dancin’ Bulldogs and Farewell), it was important to me that the music for Be Legendary was differentiable from the other two films. Ultimately, this led to me crafting a much more electronic, synth-heavy score than my past sports documentaries.
Be Legendary: A Devin Booker Documentary premieres today on YouTube at 11pm EST. Trice High has crafted another incredible documentary, this time evaluating the early career of Devin Booker. I'm excited for you all to see it and hear my music. You can watch at the link below!
One of my favorite collaborators is Trice High, and I'm proud to announce we're working together again, this time on a Devin Booker documentary. From family ties to early success, Devin Booker was destined for greatness. Follow his journey to becoming one of the NBA's brightest stars in "Be Legendary," releasing on June 19.
Yesterday was the 2021 North Carolina Film Festival! The Dancin' Bulldogs was selected alongside nine other films to be screened at the festival for the judges, the filmmakers, and select guests. I had the joy of attending the festival in-person, along with the film's producer, Thomas Manning. Eno River Media sponsors and hosts the festival in Havelock, NC, and made us feel like VIPs from the moment we arrived. Not long after we arrived, we were interviewed for an online live-stream, discussing the film, our backgrounds, and our plans for future projects.
The following article is reposted from John Schilling's article in The Brooklyn Vanguard.
It was almost a year ago that Dapo Ibrahim, a student senator at Brooklyn College, was running for USG President in hopes of addressing student safety and advocating for transparency amidst the COVID-19 breakout that took the world by storm.
At the same time, Ibrahim was hard at work as the director, producer, and writer for a film that had been delayed due to the unforeseen changes brought on by the pandemic. Ultimately, Ibrahim was not elected USG President, but his film would come to be just a few months later.
The film is still awhile away, but enjoy this special first look at The Legend of King Kong. You think you know Kong? Think again, and take a trip into Skull Island to witness the beginnings of The eighth wonder of the world!
Freedom Is Fake is now available to watch for free on YouTube! I had a blast working on this one with director Crisana Speer. The soundtrack is also available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, and all other music streaming services. See if you can spot my main theme popping up in various forms throughout the film!
Director Crisana Speer and I first connected in early February 2021 about a potential project together. She was searching for a composer on her upcoming short film, and after listening to my music for Star Wars: A New Score, she expressed an interest in working together. 3 months later, and we've arrived at the release of Freedom Is Fake, a dystopian short film.
I had a great time writing music for this ad for Northern Virginia Community College. Dash Studio did a great job animating this, with a wonderful message from VisionPoint Marketing.
Crisana Speer gave a fantastic presentation tonight on the making of Freedom Is Fake. We even got an early screening of the film at the end! It was a great experience being a part of this film, and I hope everyone enjoys its premiere tomorrow night at 8pm.
I was honored to create the video and music celebrating VisionPoint Marketing's 20 year anniversary. Diane Kuehn has been an incredible leader and boss, and I'm so glad she could provide the narration to reflect on the company's history. Watch the celebratory video below, and listen to my original single, "Legacy," that's used in the video.
As we approach the 2021 Academy Awards, I joined "Meet Me at the Movies" to discuss my predictions for the award and the pros and cons of this year's nominees.
I'm thrilled to announce I'll be joining the crew of The Legend of King Kong, an upcoming documentary. I’m excited to write some music in the classic old Hollywood style, akin to Max Steiner’s 1933 Kong score. Do you think you know Kong? Think again, and take a trip into Skull Island!
Why do brand guidelines often cover everything except sound? Sure, you have your photos, graphics, and videos, but sound also matters. I was honored to speak about music in advertising, and how establishing a sonic brand can better your online ads. Watch the webinar below!

It's hard to believe that Kobe Bryant passed away a year ago today. He left a lasting legacy on and off the court that impacted people all over the globe. I had the tremendous privilege of writing music for Trice High's documentary, "Farewell," covering Kobe's final season in the NBA. Check it out below!
