I'm so proud to announce that The Dancin' Bulldogs has won the Triumphant Film Series at the Raleigh Film & Art Festival. Our documentary follows a small school's journey to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history, and the award was presented to the film as "the most inspirational project of the year."
The Jackson Robol Show was covering the festival and interviewing selected filmmakers. Robol is a 17-year-old podcaster whose show has interviewed guests ranging from sports stars to filmmakers to politicians. Robol interviewed myself and producer Brendan Boylan during the festival to discuss our selected film.
Roy Cooper recorded a special message to the filmmakers and attendees at the festival, and it was an honor to have his support. I'd like to wish a huge congratulations to the other winners of the Raleigh Film & Art Festival, and thank the judges and audiences who made this award possible.
Lastly, I want to thank my crew (Thomas Manning, Eli Hardin, and Brendan Boylan) for their tireless dedication to the project, and my incredible wife, Megan, for her unwavering support of me and my career.
Yesterday was the 2021 North Carolina Film Festival! The Dancin' Bulldogs was selected alongside nine other films to be screened at the festival for the judges, the filmmakers, and select guests. I had the joy of attending the festival in-person, along with the film's producer, Thomas Manning. Eno River Media sponsors and hosts the festival in Havelock, NC, and made us feel like VIPs from the moment we arrived. Not long after we arrived, we were interviewed for an online live-stream, discussing the film, our backgrounds, and our plans for future projects.
