A rapturously melodic piano duet which practically sang, propelled by a sixteenth-note ostinato...
“Falling for Her” was Christian's first album release (2015). The album is a contemporary musical interpretation romance, a modern fairy tale. It makes use of a short, recurring motif to represent love itself, and a sixteenth note ostinato that moves the piece along and signifies time. Both the motif and the ostinato are present from the start of the piece and can be heard in various portions throughout. As a whole, “Falling for Her" follows the spark, growth, hardships, and ultimately, the triumph of true love.
The "time" ostinato is most commonly used as accompaniment to the main theme, found in the background of both Section A and Section B in the theme, but it is used throughout the entirety of the piece during important moments.
The ostinato is mainly used to move the piece along and drive the themes, a fitting concept for something representative of time.
